3 of 5 Replacement for my 2006 F-150 Lariat May 12, 2022

Transfer case works as it should, however quality control is lacking. Spent a lot of time trying to get the transfer case mounted flush to the transmission, I came to find out that the guiding dowel hole on the case is out of spec. I measured the guiding dowel on the transmission with calipers and it is about .495", then I measured the "hole" on the transfer case which looks like the entire hole and surrounding area was repaired/re-cast, it was not a smooth drill hole, it was chunky inside and not at all close to drilled properly. The hole measured about .465" in some spots, rotate my calipers and measures .475" in other areas..... with the guiding dowel on the transmission being .495", the dowel hole on the t case just was never going to fit. This should have been checked and verified by the builders. Would have saved me a lot of headache, wasted time, and cursing trying to get the t case on. Will update after longer term use.
